A gathering for church, charity and community leaders to grapple with what it means to be an intercultural Church that impacts our towns and cities.
THEME: IMAGO DEI.......MADE IN THE IMAGE AND LIKENESS OF GOD. Genesis 1:26 ’
Manchester 2026 ICCT gathering will explore the transformative concept of Imago Dei — the belief that every person is created in the image and likeness of God, as a foundation for intercultural understanding and the renewal of churches and cities. Participants will examine how recognising the inherent dignity and worth of every individual can break down prejudice and foster meaningful connections across diverse cultures, enabling the church of Christ to thrive. The event will also focus on developing intercultural leadership and creating worship experiences through music, arts, and storytelling that celebrate God’s creativity expressed in cultural diversity.
In addition, the conference will highlight the church’s vital role in reflecting Imago Dei within urban environments marked by cultural diversity and inequality. Discussions will emphasize the importance of planting new intercultural churches and revitalizing existing ones as spaces that support marginalized communities, promote justice, and cultivate discipleship and belonging. Leaders will be empowered to create culturally inclusive environments within their churches and communities, embodying the love and unity found in Christ.

Hub Awaits You
Where Learning Meets Encounter
-
What could our cities look like if the Church fully embraced cultural diversity, not as a challenge to manage, but as a calling to re-imagine local church, leadership, worship, mission, and community?
-
How does theology shape the way we see people and how are we helping each other live from that truth?
-
How can our worship reflect the voices and hearts of everyone in the room—and those not yet in the room?
-
How do we intentionally develop leaders that reflect the cultural realities of our community and is our leadership structure equipped for shared power and inclusive decision-making?
-
As some churches sell their buildings, are we missing a vital opportunity to reimagine these spaces for intercultural fellowship and mission?

'IMAGO DEI' MADE IN THE IMAGE OF GOD
AN INTERCULTURAL ART EXHIBITION
We are delighted to host the very first Art Exhibition at the Manchester 2026 ICCT Event. Engaging the theme of Imago Dei, three artists: Paul Hobbs, Michelle Ayavoro and Elena C, will exhibit work that represents a range of different cultures and artistic forms, to inspire and give insight into what it means to be made in the image of God.

It is our hope
By the end of the conference, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of Imago Dei, build stronger networks for collaboration, and acquire practical strategies to engage their communities. The ultimate goal is to foster discipleship in Christ and transform cities.
Hot food is an essential part of ICCTG. In Leeds, we enjoyed Mediterranean cuisine. In London, we experienced African and Caribbean cuisine. In Manchester, we will explore another cuisine from another culture. Come and discover what these delicious dishes are!
